Hongjaewon aims to regenerate Hongjecheon as a dynamic community hub that bridges past and present, blending the historical significance of Hongjewon with modern design. By fostering meaningful connections and honoring the area's heritage, it creates a sustainable space for residents and visitors to engage, share, and build new relationships.
The project transforms Hongje stream into immersive spaces reflecting Hongjedong's essence, including an antique market from Inwang Market and a tea house inspired by Hongjewon’s history as a traditional pharmacy.
Audience takes on the role of a visitor to Hongjewon, experiencing a cultural space where they can browse antiques and enjoy tea, immersing themselves in the historical atmosphere.
